Hi Rich,
What a great way to put it - victim vs. crusader. Leaps of faith into the unknown for reasons that are deeply important to us probably rarely turn out how we think they will, but it is in the leaping that we truly live. One small leap at a time.

You are so right. It really is so much easier to be a victim than a crusader but putting on the armor and meeting life as it comes is so much richer. Great post. Thank you.

After being held so close to the fire that my eyelashes are finally growing back, I can say I feel healthier overall than I have in years :) You are right - it is NO fun, but boy am I glad I took and continue to the take the journey, even when it is hot!

Rich!
So great to hear from you again! It's been a while! I think you are so right about the problem with presenting your mapping as fact. I think the reason it's a problem when presented that way is when we use our mapping to try to get our partners to see it our way when the very nature of the conflict is for them to make CERTAIN that they don't or won't see it your way. Adds a whole new meaning to "I just want my partner to understand me!" doesn't it?

Glad you're reading the book!
